Parts of Westman, the Interlake and southern Manitoba are expected to experience freezing rain until tonight.

A narrow band of intense precipitation tracking through the area this afternoon is producing rain. Air temperatures in the minus single digits result in the rain freezing on contact. Freezing rain may be mixed with ice pellets or snow at times.

Environment Canada predicts that the freezing rain will cease by this evening.

Manitobans are cautioned that the precipitation will most likely alter surface conditions, such as highways, roads, walkways, and parking lots. Please drive according to the conditions.
