Fire Prevention week may end tomorrow, Oct. 14, but learning how to avoid fires never stops. 

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service is hosting an open house on Oct. 14, from 12 - 4 p.m. at all WFPS stations. 

Residents are encouraged to stop by their local station and get to know their local first responders and learn about home escape plans and fire prevention.

The theme is Cooking Safety Starts with YOU. Pay Attention to Fire Prevention. There's more than 100 fires that start in the kitchen each year that they respond to, so learn how to stay safe while in the kitchen.
