There will be both familiar and new activities in this year's leisure guide, including introducing a family spin class.

The City of Winnipeg is hoping to help keep families stay on the move in the winter months.

"Staying active during the winter can be difficult. From dance, to sport and fitness, this season’s Leisure Guide features plenty of classes to get you and your family (on) your feet, including the new Family Spin Class," a Thursday statement from the City of Winnipeg says.

Leisure Guide - Winter 2022 activity registration kicks off for Winnipeggers on Tuesday, December 14 at 8 a.m. Everyone else can register two days later. 

This winter's guide includes skating lessons, swimming, pottery, and more.

Registration can be made online, by calling 311, or in person at all indoor pools, excluding the St. James Civic Centre. People can also register at  395 Main St., Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

To participate indoors, all adult participants will need to have proof of being fully vaccinated. Teens between the ages of 12-17 need at least one COVID-19 vaccine or a confirmed negative test, starting Monday.

"Masks must be worn at all times in our facilities, except when engaged in water or other athletic activities."
