The Winnipeg Police Service is investigating a number of serious incidents, including a suspicious death, all in the same area.

The WPS says they were called to an apartment block in the 100 block of Jarvis Ave. for a report of a deceased person just before 7 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 22.

The woman was transported to hospital from the building just off of Main St., where she was pronounced deceased. 

The homicide unit has taken over the investigation and is asking anyone with information to call 204.986.6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477 (TIPS).

Before officers were called to the apartment they had also responded to "three serious incidents" in the Point Douglas area.

At approximately 4:30 a.m., officers located an adult male with serious injuries in a parking lot in the 800 block of Main Street. He was transported to hospital in critical condition.

At approximately 5:00 a.m., officers located an injured adult male in the 600 block of Main Street. He was transported to hospital in unstable condition. 

At approximately 5:30 a.m., officers patrolling in the area of Logan/Disraeli came upon an injured male who advised he had been assaulted. He was transported to hospital in stable condition. 

Police believe the three assaults are connected but have not said if the homicide may also be connected. No suspects have been arrested.
