For Those in Peril on the Sea is the seventh in a series of radio mysteries written and directed by Tim Higgins. It's August, 1908. After a series of traumatic adventures, the Reverend Elleston Liddell—Methodist Minister, best-selling author and amateur sleuth—and his wife Pamela, have decided to take a cruise on Lake Winnipeg. It's a chance to get away from. the hustle and bustle of North America's fast growing city; an opportunity to relax and catch their breath. But, as the title suggests, where the Liddells go, adventure inevitably follows!

A word of explanation, The Elleston Liddell Mysteries are normally staged as live radio plays. The set recreates a broadcast studio from a time before television. You'd see the actors at their microphones; the foley artist creating live sound effects; our live orchestra and our technician—all on stage.

Sadly, live theatre has not been possible this year. However, the company of Interesting Theatre has remained undeterred! We have instead shot Peril on zoom and are presenting the edited result on Young United Church's YouTube channel. Enjoy!
