The City of Winnipeg has filled about 100,000 potholes this year, which apparently isn't out of the ordinary.

This is the first time the city has actually tracked that statistic, an idea suggested by Charleswood city councillor Marty Morantz.

Though they can't compare exact numbers, Cheryl Anderson, acting manager of street maintenance with Winnipeg's Public Works, says the work this year is on par with the past few years.

Anderson encourages Winnipeggers to call 311, go online or use their app to report potholes so crews can be dispatched to repair the site as soon as possible.
