It's time for the Manitoba Band Association's Level One Band Festival! Friday morning host Michael Wolch welcomed two grade six trumpeters - Noah and Andrew. Missed it? Watch the video here!

MBA's Level One Band Festival (established in 2000) is held each April in Winnipeg and Brandon. This spring festival is geared toward our young bands.The festival provides2017LevelOneNoahLongVanessaNowostawskiAndrewJacksonEcole Regent Park Grade 6 Trumpet student Noah Long, Band teacher Vanessa Nowostawski and grade six trumpet student Andrew Jackson students with a variety of musical experiences. A typical sequence includes listening to two festival performances, warm up, performance, post performance adjudication/clinic, and Band Basics session. Total time at the festival is usually between 2-3 hours.

Friday morning, Morning Ligth host Michael Wolch was joined by two trumpet players from Ecole Regent Park:

Vanessa Nowostawski: Chair of the Level One Band Festival and band teacher
Noah Long: trumpet (grade 6)
Andrew Jackson: trumpet (grade 6)

 

The Manitoba Band Association (1977) is a non-profit charitable organization which promotes the growth and development of band in Manitoba through regional and provincial programs and activities.

The organization is supported by a membership base of 390 music educators, music students, community bands, industry partners and others who share its goals. The MBA is affiliated with the Canadian Band Association, the Manitoba Music Educator's Association and the Coalition for Music Education in Canada.
