Classic 107 - Winnipeg's classical and jazz radio station.

Hard to believe that it's been four years since we flipped the switch on a very snowy morning at the Centennial Concert Hall! Watch some of the highlights from the day here!

December 05 2013, Classic 107 - the only classical music station west of Toronto was born! Add great jazz in the evening and you've got  a very unique radio station we are very proud to call our own!

To celebrate, we concentrated on the 4th throughout the day.

Whether it was Brahms Symphony No. 4, Mozart's Piano Sonata No. 4 or Suk's Four Pieces, that was the magic number for the day on Classic 107.

On Morning Light, Claudia Garcia de la Huerta sat down with Golden West Radio CEO Elmer Hildebrand. Under his leadership, Golden West has grown a single AM radio station in Altona and Steinbach,  to 42 AM and FM radio stations from Ontario and right across the prairies.  Claudia asked him why, with all the success he's had, it was so important to him to bring a classical and jazz radio station to Winnipeg. Missed the interview? Find it below!

Chris Wolf  started Intermezzo the same way we launched the station four years ago, with Bethoven's Ode to Joy.

And finally, you can't have a birthday without singing Happy Birthday! In the Diamond Lane, the SnowTones continued our Birchwood Jaguar 107 LIVE! Holiday Edition with some Christmas a capella PLUS a special rendition of Happy Birthday to cap the day off. Find the video below!

Thank you everyone for making these last four years on the air such special ones!

With your support we'll continue bring you the best in classical and jazz music for many years to come!

And here's the video featuring the Snowtones singing a very special happy birthday!
