Listen Live

Michael Kaeshammer: Something New.  The Canadian boogie-woogie, stride piano master is back with a fresh, fun take on New Orleans jazz.

Recorded at the historic Esplanade Studios in the heart of New Orleans' Treme district, Kaeshammer along with Big Easy legends Cyril Neville (The Neville Brothers), George Porter Jr (The Meters), Johnny Vidacovich (Professor Longhair), Mike Dillon (Primus), the New Orleans Nightcrawlers Brass Band and Canadian bassist David Piltch (k. d. lang) create an eclectic sonic ride. Very special guests include Colin James, Randy Bachman, Curtis Salgado, Jim Byrnes, Amos Garrett and Chuck Leavall of The Rolling Stones.

Kaeshammer is right at home with this amazing cast of musicians, mixing his famous, lightning fast stride and boogie woogie piano playing with his new-found comfort and flare as a smooth and sly singer. There is never a dull moment when he records an album or performs live and this newset CD is no exception.
