VIRTUOSI CONCERTS is The University of Winnipeg’s premier recital and chamber music series.

The Virtuosi Concerts series was established in 1991 as a co-presentation of The University of Winnipeg and the CBC. The series is now produced by Virtuosi Concerts Inc. (VCI) in Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall at The University of Winnipeg. VCI was incorporated in 1998.

Virtuosi Concerts is The University of Winnipeg’s International Recital & Chamber Music Series, presenting artists and ensembles of national and international renown. The best of our own Manitoba artists are frequently featured within the 9 annual concerts of the subscription season.


Here are some of the highlights for next season:

Sept 9th: The Montrose Quartet (featuring Jon Kimura Parker, Martin Beaver & Clive Greensmith)

Oct 14th: Cheng Duo performing 5 pieces by 5 different Canadian composers, refelcting different regions around Canada: Atlantic, Central, Prairies, West & North

Nov. 4th: Dover String Quartet with a program of music to commemorate two Holocaust composers - Viktor Ullman & Simon Laks

Dec 9th & 10th: Artists of Manitoba including Lara Ciekiewicz, Madeline Hildebrand and the WSO String Ensemble

Apr. 14th: Robert Cohen performing the complete Bach Cello Suites, all 6 in one performance!
