The Women’s Musical Club (WMC) of Winnipeg Scholarship Winners' Recital takes place next week and features some of the province’s best and brightest musical talents.

In the lead up to the event, Classic 107 has been introducing you to some of this year’s winners, the latest being cellist Juliana Moroz.

Winner of the $3000 WMC Scholarship top prize, Moroz is currently in her third year of studies at the distinguished McDuffie Center for Strings in Macron, Georgia.

"The Women's Musical Club has honestly given me so much support in the last several years," says Moroz. "They've really helped me on my path (in music)."

Moroz and the other five recipients – including her brother, Alexander – perform on Wednesday, December 29 live and live streamed. The WMC presents more than $11,000 in scholarships at the event. To learn more and purchase tickets, visit: www.wmcwpg.ca
