Every month, with our friends at Toad Hall Toys, we draw a name from our pile of entries nominating some pretty awesome kids! What are YOU waiting for? Do you have a child in your life that you think deserves a shout out? Maybe, they're an excellent big brother or sister, maybe they showed exceptional poise in a competition, maybe they went out of their way to do something nice for someone and you want to reward them. Shirley Bestvater felt that her grandson was deserving of a $50 gift certificate from Toad Hall Toys in the Exchange (54 Arthur St.). Here is her entry:
Izzy, a 12 year old well-rounded boy, is multi-talented and yet very sensitive and caring. He recently received a gold medal for his guitar exam, he and 
He's an inquisitive learner and keeps fit, running 5 km races and also trains in karate and kick-boxing. In the summer he has a part time job cutting grass in his community.
Recently he wrote us (grandparents) a very touching thank you letter, out of the blue. Among other things, he said, " Your musical talents have inspired me to keep playing and enjoying it. Also your hard work and determination has made me feel very lucky about having you as grandparents."
Coming from a 12 year old, pretty profound and insightful!
