For over 25 years, Celebrations Dinner Theatre on Pembina Highway has been a staple in the Winnipeg theatre community. On Friday, September 17, dinner and show was back on the program after a long closure due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

“It feels wonderful,” says General Manager Randy Apostle on the reopening. “It was way too long to not be having so much fun—which is what we’re all about!”

“Night at the Museum of Rockstars” plays on the idea of what goes on in the after-hours at an exhibit featuring the legends of rock and roll. With the likes of Elvis and John Lennon guiding security guard Ted through a night of misadventure, it’s sure to be a good time for audiences of all ages.

“There’s a love story, and there’s all those things that make a good musical,” explains Apostle. “But the biggest thing is the music that people grew up with or and love, and to be able to share all those different stars is a very special thing here.”

The immersive dinner theatre experience features—as always!—servers in character, with murals of rock legends up on the walls extending beyond the theatre set. Patrons will need to show proof of vaccination before entering to enjoy the four-course meal and three-act production.

“Night at the Museum of Rockstars” runs until November 14. Tickets start at $62.95.
